in 1988 in Taipei, China Environmental Consultants
Limited (CECL) was one of the first full-service
environmental planning and engineering firms in
Taiwan. Over the years, CECL has completed more
than 500 projects — these include environmental
impact assessment (EIA), design and engineering
projects and turn-key construction of waste treatment
facilities. CECL soil and groundwater planning and
remediation team also has completed close to 70
site related projects, ranging from phase I &
II site audits to full-scale remediations.
CECL
established the Energy / Climate Services
Group in 2003 to provide strategic and
technical services in renewable energy, Clean
Development Mechanism (CDM) development and carbon
emission credit applications. In 2003, CECL and
Steven Leach & Associates have established
a joint venture company called SLA Development
(China) Inc. to implement Greater China-based
projects. The combined manpower of over 100 professionals
located in four major cities (Taipei, Hong Kong,
Shanghai and Beijing) allow the company to provide
a one stop service for clients.
